Biography:
Despina Sofokleous has expertise in advising high net worth individuals on cross border transactions involving the Russian Federation, Europe, USA, China and CIS countries. She regularly advises international clients in formulating the most advantageous structure for their ventures. She has also experience in merger and acquisitions and advising clients on corporate and corporate governance matters.
After graduating in law from the University of Bristol, she obtained an LL.M. from the King’s College London and an LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School. She has been awarded a scholarship from Fulbright for her graduate studies in Law at the University of Chicago.
She has been admitted to practice law in Cyprus.
She is fluent in Greek and English and has a basic knowledge of Russian.
